🔋 Electric mobility is best experienced… on the track!
We celebrated EV Day a bit early in Târgu Mureș, during the first edition of Electromobility Track Day – an event organized by the Electromobilitate community, held on the spectacular Transilvania Motor Ring circuit.
An electric journey across the country
Participants traveled from over 10 cities across Romania, many of them charging along the way at Eldrive stations in Brașov, Râșnov, Făgăraș, Turda, Oradea, and Sebeș. Our network played an important role in supporting EV enthusiasts who covered hundreds of kilometers to be part of this experience.
Eldrive, with a full team on board
We headed to Târgu Mureș in an MG S5, driven by Gabriel Nica, the creator of the platform "Cu și despre mașini" ("With and about cars"). Alongside him, our colleagues from the technical, digitalization, and marketing departments formed a united team, eager to gain valuable insights directly from EV users.
Track Day: Adrenaline, conversation, and a shared vision
The event lasted six hours and featured safety briefings, orientation laps, and full track driving sessions. The atmosphere was electric – both literally and figuratively! A diverse range of EV models – from the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Renault Megane to the Model Y Performance, Ford Explorer, Dacia Spring, Kia EV6, and Skoda Enyaq – showed that electric mobility can deliver both sustainability and performance.
Meaningful discussions and energy partnerships
Beyond the driving sessions, the event provided space for valuable conversations. We participated in a productive brainstorming session with representatives from Cooperativa de Energie, exploring topics such as the role of prosumers and the future of energy communities in Romania.
The strong presence of EV users, prosumers, and tech enthusiasts reconfirmed that electromobility is not just a passing trend – it's a natural evolution toward sustainable transport.
More than an event – a community
The Târgu Mureș Track Day proved once again that electric mobility brings people together. We were proud to be part of a passionate, open, and forward-thinking community, united by the same vision: a cleaner and more energy-efficient future.
