On February 7, 2026, the RO1000 Challenge took place, the annual challenge of the Romanian EV community, in which 37 electric cars covered approximately 1,000 km in a single day. The event was not a competition, but a collective test of real range, charging infrastructure, and the reliability of existing networks, providing practical information for everyone interested in electric mobility.
The challenge started from the Pallady area, Bucharest, and continued through Ovidiu (Constanța), Hârșova, Focșani, Adjud, Oituz, Brașov, Pitești, and back to Bucharest (Pallady).
We are happy to have been alongside the participants on this route and that they could rely on Eldrive stations for fast and safe charging. Among the locations used were Lidl Fetești, Lidl Râșnov, and Supernova Pitești. The presence of these stations contributed to a more comfortable experience and gave participants the confidence that they could continue the journey without worries.
RO1000 Challenge 2026 reconfirmed what the EV community has been discussing for years: electric cars can support long trips in a single day without stress, if there is correct planning and reliable charging stations. Eldrive was part of this experience, demonstrating that the Romanian infrastructure is ready for daily use and for longer routes.
We are delighted that we could be close to the participants and that the Eldrive network offered them the necessary support throughout the entire route. We look forward to the next editions, with new car models, new data, and other challenges, continuing to inspire the EV community to explore Romania in a 100% electric way.
